BIO Issues Call for Sessions for 2014 BIO International Convention
Washington, D.C. (September 12, 2013) – The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) invites biotechnology, health care, energy, business, government policy and food agriculture experts to submit proposals for sessions at the 2014 BIO International Convention, the global event for biotechnology, to be held June 23-26, 2014 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
Industry experts looking to advance a field of thought, gain wide media exposure and establish a dialogue amongst their peers should consider submitting a session proposal. Speakers will gain access to industry leaders from over 4,000 companies from around the globe. Proposals will be accepted through October 3, 2013 and are open to all industry experts. The 2014 BIO International Convention will highlight the latest biotechnology trends and opportunities for executives, investors, scientists, policy leaders and media from around the world. Session speakers will share breakthroughs in medicine, diagnostics, the environment, energy production, business operations, financing, partnerships, policy issues and food and agriculture.
BIO is looking to serve the educational needs of its diverse audience by creating a balanced program that is comprehensive and reflects a multitude of perspectives. Proposals that focus on key business, science, policy and international issues are particularly encouraged. The program will feature more than 100 sessions in eight session tracks and numerous specialty forums covering a broad range of topics related to the biotechnology industry.
All submissions received are peer-reviewed by the Convention Program Committee which includes both domestic and international industry professionals, editors from major publications and BIO staff. Applicants will be notified of the status of their session proposal by January 6, 2014.
The BIO Business Forum company presentations provide yet another chance to gain unrivaled exposure. This program allows presenters to spotlight and pitch their companies to business development executives, investors, analysts, policy makers and the press.
