BIO Renews and Expands Partnership with BioProcess International

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Monday, March 17, 2008) - The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) announced today that it has renewed its agreement with BioProcess International (BPI) to organize and produce the BioProcess Zone Theatre and publish the official Pre-Event Planner for the 2008 BIO International Convention, to be held June 17-20, 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA.

“Based upon the overwhelming success of the 2007 BioProcess Zone, Theatre and Pre-Event Planner at the 2007 BIO International Convention in Boston, MA, we are excited to continue and grow our relationship with BioProcess International in 2008,” said Robbi Lycett, vice president, Conventions & Conferences, BIO. “Our goal is to provide 2008 BIO International Convention attendees and exhibitors with the increased opportunity to interact and learn about the latest trends, global ideas and innovations impacting the biotech industry.”

In 2008, BioProcess International will publish “The Guide to the 2008 BIO International Convention’s Product Focus Zones - The Official Pre-Event Planner for The 2008 BIO International Convention,” which provides over 60,000 biotechnology professionals with a detailed guide and roadmap to the 2008 BIO Convention and the exhibition’s 12 targeted "Product Focus Zones”, including:
