Council of State Bioscience Associations Announces New Board Leadership

WASHINGTON, DC (October 3, 2011) – The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced the Council of State Bioscience Associations(CSBA) has selected its Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the 2011-2012 term. The CSBA is an autonomous council of state-based biotechnology associations operating within BIO.

"We are very pleased to have these distinguished state trade association leaders from across the nation working with BIO on vital economic development and regulatory matters facing our industry," said Peter Pellerito, Interim Vice President of State Government Relations and Alliance Development at BIO. "The CSBA has provided over fifteen years of invaluable support to universities, policymakers and industry, enabling a consistent voice for life science policy in state capitols. We look forward to continued insight and collaboration as we keep our industry vibrant and competitive in an increasingly global economy."
