Pacific Rim Summit to Host International Industry, Academic Discussions on Biofuels, Renewable Chemicals
The 2011 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy will bring together industry leaders, university researchers, and venture capitalists to facilitate networking and business partnerships between companies from the United States and Asia. The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is co-organizing the Summit with the BioMalaysia 2011 Conference & Exhibition, to be held Nov. 21-23, 2011, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia.
“We are excited to hold the Pacific Rim Summit jointly with BioMalaysia 2011 to showcase industrial biotechnology innovation and developments from Asia and other emerging regions of the world,” said Brent Erickson, executive vice president for BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section. “An outstanding line-up of speakers from leading companies and research organizations will meet in Kuala Lumpur for this event, and we expect a number of partnering, financing and capital formation deals to result.”
