USDA Under Secretary Dr. Catherine Woteki Will Preview Leadership Summit Discussion at BIO Convention Buzz Center
This BIO Buzz Center event will feature Dr. Catherine Woteki, USDA’s Under Secretary for Research, Education and Economics - U.S. Department of Agriculture and Naomi Stevens, Head of Market Acceptance for BioScience at Bayer CropScience. Woteki and Stevens will preview some of the key issues to be addressed at the Monday afternoon Leadership Summit including:
· Addressing the challenges in agriculture production for both food and biobased products
· Developing a global platform to facilitate the research agenda
· How the National Bioeconomy Blueprint underscores the importance of innovation
· Federal opportunities, including USDA funded research programs and ARPA-E grants
