BIO 2002 Media Registration Opens
BIO 2002, the world’s premier biotechnology conference, will feature more than 100 panels and workshops on drug development, food and agriculture, bioethics, and regulatory processes.
BIO’s 1994 convention in Toronto attracted 2,000 attendees. Since then, the convention has grown each year, leading to a record-shattering turnout of 14,000 in San Diego for BIO 2001. There were 900 exhibit booths and more than 600 registered media.
Registration for approved media is complimentary, and advance registration is
encouraged. Advanced registration is required for freelance journalists, and must be accompanied by a letter from the editor of the news organization for which the freelance journalist is working.

Without proper registration or approved press credentials, access to BIO 2002
