Greenpeace Founder Dismisses Activist Scare Tactics about Biotechnology, Encourages Scientific Discussion
Dr. Moore will discuss the misinformation used by activists and discuss his position: that those who have adopted a zero-tolerance attitude toward biotechnology threaten to deny its many benefits by playing on fear of the unknown and on fear of change. Dr. Moore is a proponent of using accurate scientific data to move environmentalism from confrontation to consensus.

Dr. Moore was a driving force shaping the policy and direction of Greenpeace while it became the world's largest environmental activist organization. In recent years, he has focused on the promotion of sustainability and consensus building among competing concerns. Dr. Moore is the author of two books, Pacific Spirit...The Forest Reborn and Green Spirit-Trees are the Answer and is a frequent speaker on environmental issues.
