Biotech, Banking Expert to Address Entrepreneurs and Investment Community at BIO MidAmerica VentureForum
Papadopoulos, vice chairman of SG Cowen, will address future trends in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries with regard to opportunities in venture capital at a luncheon on April 3 at noon. SG Cowen provides securities and investment banking services to corporate clients and institutional investors worldwide.

The BIO conference will give seed, early and late-stage private companies searching for private equity funding the opportunity to meet and network with venture capitalists and investors. Approximately 70 Midwest biotechnology firms will present their business plans at the two-day conference.
Prior to joining SG Cowen in 2000, Papadopoulos spent 13 years as an investment banker at Paine Webber, focusing on the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. He previously worked for both Drexel Burnham Lambert and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Before embarking on a career on Wall Street, Papadopoulos served on the faculty of the Department of Cell Biology at New York University Medical Center, where he continues his affiliation today as an adjunct associate professor. Papadopoulos has a Ph.D. in biophysics and an MBA in finance, both from NYU.
