Media Registration, For Freelancers and Web Publications, For BIO 2003 Ends Friday, June 13
On-site media registration at the Washington Convention Center for credentialed members of the media will be available starting Saturday, June 21 at 8 a.m. Valid, current media credentials (i.e. picture identification from the employing news organization) are required for on-site registration. Without proper, approved credentials, onsite media registration will be denied. Freelance journalists and web-based publications will not be able to register on-site.
The event will feature 25 tracks of programming, including sessions on policy, business development, science and regulatory affairs. Plus, the convention will host a two-day HealthFest on the National Mall, special forums on bioethics, global health and patient advocacy; a two-day NIH Director's Lecture Series; 345,000 square feet of exhibit space; a series of dazzling receptions at Washington landmarks; and a BIO TV Studio and media center, complete with two press conference rooms.
BIO represents more than 1,000 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations in all 50 U.S. states and 33 other nations. BIO members are involved in the research and development of health-care, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products.
