Greenwood to Explore Healthcare and Policy Changes
“I am honored to be speaking at this year’s CED Biotech Conference,” remarked Greenwood. “The biotech innovation coming out of North Carolina and the Southeast corridor demonstrates how biotechnology is best poised to provide answers to the many challenges facing the incoming administration and Congress. We can help lead economic recovery by creating high-value, green jobs. We can help reduce health care costs through continued innovation and providing cures for debilitating diseases. We can help preserve the environment by increasing agricultural sustainability. And we can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by continuing to develop renewable, alternative fuels.”
Hosted by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, in partnership with NCBIO and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the conference includes world-class speakers, a variety of panels focusing on the nation's administration, life science and healthcare policy, and networking opportunities with life science leaders. Through February 11, 2009, registration is $275 for CED, NCBIO and BIO members; $375 for non-members; $100 for students.
