Greenwood to Explore Healthcare and Policy Changes

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Thursday, January 22, 2009) -  The Honorable James C. Greenwood, president and CEO of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), joins the line up of speakers for CED's 18^th annual Biotech conference happening February 16 and 17 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, N.C. Greenwood will provide featured remarks at the gala dinner, February 16 at 6:30 p.m., on what BIO feels is the potential impact of the new political landscape and what biotech companies should do to prepare for the change. He will be introduced by James B. Hunt, Jr., former Governor of North Carolina and known as the ‘father’ of biotechnology in the state.

Hosted by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, in partnership with NCBIO and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the conference includes world-class speakers, a variety of panels focusing on the nation's administration, life science and healthcare policy, and networking opportunities with life science leaders.
