Washington DC, May 15, 2015 – The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) announced today that the Industrial Biotechnology (Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., publishers) Journal will become the official publication for the BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology. The 2015 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology will be held July 19-22, 2015 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal in Montréal, Canada.

“BIO has succeeded in making the World Congress the foremost international conference on industrial biotechnology.  We have now achieved another milestone as the world’s premier publication on industrial biotechnology becomes the official journal of this conference,” said Brent Erickson, Executive Vice President, Industrial and Environmental at BIO. "BIO has had a long and prolific relationship with Mary Ann Liebert and team and believes that this partnership is a sign of greater things to come.”

Industrial Biotechnology is a peer-reviewed bimonthly research journal focused on biobased industrial and environmental products and processes. The journal is the first and longest-running publication to report the science, business, and policy developments of the emerging global bioeconomy, including biobased production of energy and fuels, chemicals, materials, and consumer goods.

"We have had a long and productive relationship with BIO, and I look forward to this new, expanded collaboration on Industrial Biotechnology,” said Mary Ann Liebert, Founder, President, and CEO of the company which bears her name.

Industrial Biotechnology offers a premier forum bridging basic research and R&D with later-stage commercialization for bioenergy, biofuels, biorefining; biomass/feedstocks, agricultural sciences; biomaterials: bioplastics, biofilms and biobased chemicals; and enzymes (bulk, fine, specialty).

All programs at the World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology are open to members of the media. Complimentary media registration is available to editors and reporters working full time for print, broadcast or web publications with valid press credentials.
