BIO Announces Programming Focused on Biobased Markets and Food for the 2018 World Congress in July

The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) today announced two programming tracks focused on biobased markets and specialty food ingredients, flavors and fragrances at the 2018 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology. Programming around these topics will take place Tuesday, July 17, with four sessions for each of the two tracks.  

Washington, D.C. (July 6, 2018) – The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) today announced two programming tracks focused on biobased markets and specialty food ingredients, flavors and fragrances at the 2018 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology. Programming around these topics will take place Tuesday, July 17, with four sessions for each of the two tracks.  

The 2018 BIO World Congress will be held July 16-19, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

“New innovations are sweeping across industrial biotechnology, including new bioprocesses to develop biobased consumer products and specialty food ingredients,” said Brent Erickson, Executive Vice President, Industrial and Environmental at BIO. “Programming included in these two breakout tracks will focus on the innovations taking place across the entire value chain and how they contribute to the global biobased economy.”
