Revised Myriad Guidance from the USPTO – Now What is Patentable?

A panel of industry and academic experts will explore legal, policy and business implications of the Myriad decision, the USPTO guidance on patentable subject matter under Myriad issued earlier this year, and the revised Myriad guidance expected from the USPTO later this year.  The deep international divide regarding what forms of biotechnology innovation are now patentable will also be discussed.  Finally, the panel will explore strategies for developing commercially valuable patent protection of nucleic acids and protein sequences today, as well as tomorrow under the expected revised Myriad guidance.
